GLUE FUME ODOUR REMOVAL
Issue
Exeon were asked to provide a solution for Local Exhaust ventilation in a shoe-manufacturing factory.
The Shoes were all assembled on four gluing stations, and when they were running simultaneously there was a huge build-up in glue fumes in the area. The Gluing stations were constantly moving so a flexible solution was required.
A high level of general ventilation to the factory was an option but would have been very expensive to provide additional heating to the entire factory.
Solution
Exeon were able to design, supply and install a bespoke gluing fume extraction system.
Each gluing station was provided with a Nellie extract hood.
The Nellie arm extracted the harmful glue fumes and therefore significantly improved the air quality in the factory, without need for a significant additional heating requirement.
