FLOUR DUST EXTRACTION – MIXING & WEIGHING

Issue

Exeon were asked to provide a quotation for Dust Extraction for Weighing and Mixing of Flour.

The Weighing process involved sack tipping of flour into the mixing vessels.

The Mixers had insufficient enclosure and discharged dust in multiple directions when operating.

Solution

Exeon worked with the customer to ensure the Mixers were sufficiently enclosed. This allowed for a 75% reduction in the size of Extract connection, and thus a significantly lower cost of system.

The enclosed Mixers were then connected to via a flexi connection to ensure uninterrupted opening process.

The Weighing process was controlled via a Nellie Extraction arm which allowed the operator to move the extraction out of the way when not in use.
