This included dust and odour control for the MRF and shredding facility.   The requirement was to provide a 77,500m³/hr air flow and thus 3no air changes per hour. The air needed to be controlled to 2000ou at discharge. The facility was designed to handle Municipal waste for 12-18 months whilst the Ecopark project was in progress.   The installation was required to be completed within 6 months to allow the waste flow to continue uninterrupted.   The installation was initially required to achieve a low level of odour units (1,500ou/m3) at discharge. We were honoured to be chosen as the emissions control partner in the development a very large North London Heat and Power project. The system needed to be CE marked and meet stringent protocols set out by the client. Project Solution Exeon supplied and installed a ducted background NodourTM deep bed extraction system with extract fan and dust prefiltration handling 15,000m³/hr of flow on a 3no ACH/hr and 1.5sec contact time specification. Issue – Project Brief Exeon were approach to quote for a dust and emission control system at a fridge recycling facility.   Exeon identified that there was large amounts of VOC, specifically Pentane, were being emitted from the crushing of fridge equipment, resulting in an unsafe environment for the operators. Project Solution Exeon designed and installed a bespoke targeted carbon abatement system with specific carbon grades for VOC removal based on usage periods.
