LEV testing stands for Local Exhaust Ventilation testing, and an LEV system is a ventilation system that takes dusts, mists, gases, vapour or fumes out of the air so that they can’t be breathed in.
LEV Testing is important because thousands of British workers contract occupational asthma and other lung diseases each year. Many people die or are permanently disabled by these conditions and are unable to work. People develop these diseases because they breathe in too much dust, fume or other airborne contaminants at work, often because control measures do not work well enough.

Regulation 9 of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002 requires LEV systems to be tested at least every 14 months. We provide independent LEV testing of LEV systems in accordance with Regulation 9 of COSHH. Our reports can help you maintain safe and productive workplaces.
We will perform a thorough inspection and test of all LEV systems in accordance with HSG258. A full LEV system report will be issued containing the following;
- Marked site plan and LEV system list
- Schematic plans/diagrams of LEV systems
- Fault report with budget estimates of cost for repairs/replacement
- Plant life expectancy summary
- Checking of self-cleaning function
