A Food processing site had very high temperatures inside the main production area, which exceeded 40C in hot summer months and were too high for normal operator working conditions!
The roof was very high and above a lot of production equipment so ducting internally was not possible. There was a concern however about the ongoing maintenance possibility of roof fans.
Exeon supplied and installed an external roof cat ladder, platform and roof access gantry externally, to allow the fitment of powerful roof fans.
The fans provided 5 air changes in the production area, a complete change of air every 12 minutes. This greatly improved internal conditions.
Internally, small scaffold towers were built where possible to facilitate access to the underneath during installation.
The whole job was installed in 5 weeks and allowed the customer to feel the benefit of cooler working conditions towards the end of the summer.
