BRM- Britannia Refined Metals – Dust & Odour Control
Issue
The Client was constructing a new electronics waste preparation facility in North Kent with specialist furnaces and comminution equipment which had fume and dust extraction
requirements.
A required airflow of 24,000m3/hr had been calculated by the consultant and Exeon were engaged to provided detailed design and installation of the extraction system.
The Solution
- The system needed to include an OX™ reverse-pulse dust extractor unit and Hi-Flo™ activated carbon abatement unit for the expected levels of contaminant in the extracted airstream
as well as crossflow heat-exchange and dilution to reduce the temperature onto the carbon bed to maintain the effectiveness of the abatement. - The system discharged to an 18M stack with M1 access gantry to test ports.
