Odour Control For Waste Site – Veolia Colwick
Issue
Exeon was asked to provide an emission control system for Veolia in Colwick, Nottingham. This included dust and odour control for the MRF and shredding facility.
The requirement was to provide a 77,500m³/hr air flow and thus 3no air changes per hour. The air needed to be controlled to 2000ou at discharge.
The Solution
- Exeon supplied and installed a hi- flo activated carbon filtration system with dust filters to protect the carbon media and ensure discharge levels where within guidance.
- The system was installed over a 20 week period and the dust and odour thresholds were tested and were well within the required limits.
- This installation adds to our increasingly large portfolio of odour control systems at waste transfer sites.
