WX Scrubber and Carbon Filter for Tank and Process Extract

Issue

Exeon was engaged to provide odour abatement at an anaerobic digestion site located near sensitive receptors.

Odour control was a regulatory requirement, with the Environment Agency setting a threshold of 1,000 odour units (ouE/m³).

The site included multiple emission points—reception and storage tanks, pasteurisers, a separator, leachate tanks, and a lagoon—all requiring targeted control.

Limited space for equipment made Exeon’s modular odour systems an ideal solution, enabling effective treatment within a compact footprint

The Solution

Exeon supplied and installed a WXC3 Combination WX Scrubber and carbon filter unit, complete with integral fans and a ducted discharge stack.

Thanks to its pre-fabricated and pre-tested modular design, the system was fully installed within just a few days—minimising disruption and accelerating compliance.
