ACTIVATED CARBON AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM AT GARLIC FACTORY

Issue

A major food manufacturer had received a large volume of complaints from the strong odours being emitted from the factory.

During the processing and cooking of strong smelling ingredients, there were several large extract fans extracting these odours and these were causing distress to surrounding residents. Exeon were asked to investigate and provide a solution.

Solution

We worked with the Client and the EHO and proposed an activated carbon filter system to fit to all extract fans from the process area. The result was extremely successful; on the roof directly above the discharges there was little or no odour detectable.
