DUST EXTRACTION BOOTH – CONCRETE DUST
Issue
Exeon were asked to provide a dust extraction booth for a university training complex. The requirement for extraction was on a dry cutting concrete area which was used on an infrequent basis; only once every two weeks. However, it was still critical to ensure that the air was filtered to an acceptable level for internal circulation.
Solution
The solution for the university of Cambridge was for Exeon to supply and install an extraction booth to put up with disposable type filter elements suited for high dust loading and had a moisture resistant membrane on the filters. These filters could then be loaded with cement dust and a low level of moisture and be able to withstand this. The construction of the booth was powder coated mild steel with integral rear filters and extraction fan, allowing for a compact installation and allowing the booth cost to fit within the universities budget.
