Exeon were asked to provide a quotation for replacement Roof Ventilation systems at Kemsley Power Station, Kent.
The 7no. existing Extract fans had not been installed with sufficient antivibration mounts and flexible connections, which had failed.
The fans were also experiencing excess pressure due to poorly designed discharge ductwork.
Due to the high temperatures being experienced due to lack of extract fans, there was international pressure to complete the job within a 4-month timescale.
Exeon supplied and installed 7no new Extraction systems.
Each system was carefully designed with improved discharge ductwork to reduce pressure on the system and increase flow.
Exeon installed correctly designed AV mounts and flexis to avoid future issues.
The scope of the contract included strip out of old extract discharges, assembly of new Extract assemblies at low level and craneage into place.
The system was installed within a 14-week timescale.
