Extraction for Garlic Cooking Process
Issue
Exeon were asked to provide a quote for Black Garlic to solve the Garlic odours which were produced as part of the cooking process.
Several types of Abatement systems had been attempted without success, including Activated carbon.
Exeon identified that there was high levels of moisture being given off as part of the process.
Solution
Exeon supplied and installed a hi-flo Activated Carbon adsorber to control the Garlic Fumes.
The system was installed with a Moisture control system consisting of a Dehumidification section – involving a chiller and reheat coil.
The hi-flo System has a deep-bed Activated carbon system and thus is equipped to treat high and consistent levels of food processing odours.
