RECIRCULATING FUME EXTRACTION BOOTH AT SOMERSET HOUSE
Issue
Exeon were asked to quote for an extraction system for Varnish spraying process at Somerset house. To externally discharge was going to be very expensive and a long-winded process because it is a listed building.
Currently the fume extraction system does discharge to outside but the extraction is both insufficient and bad in design and as a consequence, independent LEV auditors condemned it as unsafe to use.
Due to the fact that the process involves painting, noise control was also a key requirement.
Solution
Exeon installed a Bespoke speed controlled recirculating fume Extraction booth complete with speed-adjustable fans, particulate filtration and Activated carbon filtration, allowing internal discharge.
The unit was far quieter than the existing system, and more importantly is fully compliant with LEV legislation.
